The project originally started as a small patch -- removing the bot prefix from the token -- and was meant for personal use.
Thanks to the community’s support, more and more patches were added over time, which also brought increasing complexity to the codebase.

At the same time, Discord’s security mechanisms have become increasingly sophisticated, making the use of selfbots riskier than ever.

I might return someday with a new selfbot project.
For now, I believe this library remains stable enough to function for a while (as Discord rarely makes breaking changes).
During this period, users are encouraged to migrate to discord.py-self.

I want to thank all contributors and users who supported the project throughout its development.
Although active development has ended, the source code will remain available for anyone who finds it useful.
