Check for a passlib alternative #27
Description
PassLib-1.7.4 has not had any updates in a few years, and is now in a state where it may stop working in future versions of python (not confirmed). We should check for an alternative for password hashing, or find an updated version of passlib to ensure future compatibility.
https://foss.heptapod.net/python-libs/passlib/-/issues/187 suggests that there may be an official future for passlib at some point, or a trustworthy fork. The main issue is the upcoming crypt deprecation.
