New Design for Analog?

Congratulations for the v2 release!
I just want to share a design idea for Analog since the logo of the project is looking quite dated compared to Angular and Vite.

Check this out:

So basically, it's the Angular gradient and the Vite yellow. I got inspired by the Dubset Media icon to modernize the waveform.
Now that I think of it, maybe I should make the Angular pentagon waveform instead?

Some thought process:

• I got inspired by analog aesthetic and I thought using a "multiply" as a color mix is very nice as a "stack," and frankly I think it's quite fitting of the era as being rebellious for a design.
• The pentagon is just tracing the current Angular icon.
• The triangle waveform is quite cute, no? It is inspired by the original design. I change it to a single triangle and made it fit the analog theme. (Since two triangle reminds me of nuxt. 🤷)
• It doesn't look bad tiny (I think...)
  

But anyway, I made this in 2 hours and just went with 1 design. I thought it'll be a fun design since the project has a major release recently. Feel free to adopt this or derivative from it. I waive all the media in this post under CC0.

I strongly believe a rebrand for Analog would be a smart move. The project already brings a lot of value, but higher visibility and a more premium identity would help it truly stand out alongside frameworks like Nuxt or SvelteKit.

Here are a few thoughts:

• The idea is great — we need an identity that reflects the quality and ambition of Analog, and conveys a polished brand image.
• That said, while I think the existing proposal is a good conversation starter, IMO it doesn’t yet hit the “premium” level I believe the brand deserves. There are opportunities to refine it so that the brand feels top-tier in the ecosystem.
• As inspiration: take a look at angularprimitives.com. They have a clean, high-end design for their documentation site — and it’s built with Analog itself. It would be quite nice if Analog’s documentation site used Analog, demonstrating the framework from first-hand instead of using Docusaurus.

I made a quick visual proposal (attached) to illustrate one direction. It’s just a starting point, not a finished deliverable:

If needed, I would be glad to collaborate on next steps: refining the visual direction, working out a roadmap, and helping grow the brand and documentation into a flagship experience.
