Hi folks, firstly, nice work on this PR.
Admittedly, I haven't been following the Geode project at all and therefore don't know much about it. However I am aware that the Geode project community is pretty stagnant. There is talk of moving it to the Apache Incubator.
I think it would be worthwhile figuring out if Geode is going to be sent to the Attic before we plan on merging this PR.
My 2 cents :)
