It's improperly captured screen e.g. the browser/displayed calibration mosaic is not in full screen mode or cropped. |

You can try to increase the tolerance a bit and compile your fork of HyperHDR using Github Action (wiki): constexpr int SCREEN_MAX_CRC_BRIGHTNESS_ERROR = 1; |

Tried with increasing error tolerance, even won't help for the FireTV Cube, laptop in the same signal chain replacing the Cub calibrates with no problem. I guess that I am still missing an important part. |

If such high tolerance doesn't help maybe something wrong is with the captured board geometry. Upload a screenshot from the live preview during calibration (first make the live preview window big, close it and open again before calibration) |

yuv444 has much less noise than yuv420 during decoding (still a codec task and some settings can affect it) and I thought that was the main problem here. So yuv444 allowed you to pass the test disc recognition phase, but as I predicted, the stream that was previously tone mapped did not pass calibration: it is not a universal process, but it can process most of the typical grabber output streams (exception is e.g. ezcap 320) and can also handle webos video processing. Of course you can increase this tolerance (MAX_CALIBRATION_ERROR), but don't expect miracles from such a result. You must extend the calibration procedure and write your own algorithm for such case (if it's possible at all...). |

after each calibration you should rename lut_lin_tables.3d to ex. sdr_input_lut (sdr calibration result) and hdr_input_and_output_lut (hdr calibration result). and finaly after execution of the merge command rename hdr_input_and_output_lut back to lut_lin_tables.3d
no, its not. I dont use it at all (sometimes I lower the brightness only) |

it doesn't really matter how you rename the files before merging: each file must be unique and somehow indicate whether it's for sdr or hdr. Then you need to pass those filenames you gave them to the |

There are also some differences between players on Windows and madvr offers slightly better (closer to the source material) quality than vlc. But it all depends on the settings: if you enable some video enhancements in madvr, such as scaling, power gamma transfer or custom tone mapping, then of course everything will break because it will be beyond any standard adapted to the individual user preferences. Although I dont have Cube but from my tests but for DolbyVision (LLDV) and FireStick 4k the results were quite good: #729 (comment) . Maybe you have some nonstandard settings in the player enabled? |

Hello,
I've been trying to run the calibration so I would have a proper LUT for HDR.
Whenever I start the calibration I get this error in logs,
And nothing after that.
