Please provide AppImage

Many users, including me, do not want to install Flatpak - because it runs a background daemon.

From the user perspective - AppImage is simpler - just download one executable file.

First of all, thank you for your interest in this project!

As mentioned in this comment, the project is currently abandoned, but not dead! It will eventually be reborn in another form in the distant future, so I suggest you:

• either use and contribute to Kiwix Desktop, which is actively maintained by the creators of the zim file format and is available as an AppImage
• or create your own project; I discourage you from forking this one, as it was my very first project written without an IDE and is full of bad practices ^^

I'm keeping this issue open because the suggestion is relevant.
