Interested in contributing – would improving the viewer be useful at this stage?

Hi team,

I'm interested in contributing to this repository supporting the development and testing of IFC5 resources.

Would it be useful at this stage to improve aspects of the viewer, or is that not a current priority?

If the viewer is not the focus right now, I’m also open to contributing in other areas where help is needed.

Hi @rrdls I can only give my humble personal perspective. I'd say the aim of bSI is not to compete with professional bim software vendors. We should develop the viewer or any other online tooling only to the extent that it helps improving the standard. Coincidently #35 came up. Are you interested in seeing whether you can cook up an example with gltf pbr or materialx materials and see if you can load them in the JS viewer?
