Do we really need to install react-native-fbsdk-next for ads to work?

@thymikee Thanks for the package .This isnt an issue. Im just curious, but would like to get your thoughts on why we need to install react-native-fbsdk-next for this package to work.

I checked out the Meta audience network documentation and nowhere in it is mentioned that we need core facebook sdk for meta audience network sdk to run. I dont see any better packages here and i am having trouble showing ads using this package now currently, so wanted to get some insights from you to proceed with a native solution of directly implementing meta audience network

Hey, we're not really actively maintaining this package. We're not using it anywhere, it has ~100 weekly downloads so it seems nobody uses it anymore. If I understand it correctly, you should be good with https://github.com/thebergamo/react-native-fbsdk-next package alone, without this one.

The doubt came when i looked at Meta Audience Network documentation. They didn't mention about having the need for core SDK for audience network to work... Seems like previously when the package was created this was needed. Now audience network is a stand alone SDK as i see it.

My requirement is to monetize the app using just interstitial ad and rewarded ad. And it mainly need rewarded ad which isn't supported in this package so i created one for my need using turbo module s. Currently i only need it for Android so only android part is implemented. And i was able to make it work with just audience network sdk. And Facebook core SDK wasn't needed

So does that mean that react-native-fbads is de-facto deprecated and react-native-fbsdk-next doesn't support facebook ads?

react-native-fbads is not maintained at the moment. Regarding the "react-native-fbsdk-next doesn't support facebook ads" part, I can't say unfortunately, as I haven't used that library.
