I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I must admit that I haven't been very active in addressing issues or new feature requests on GitHub due to other priorities. I try to respond quickly to urgent or simple tasks, but working mostly alone means things take more time. I'm very grateful for occasional new PRs and ideas, though. In the coming weeks, I'll update our documentation site and clean up the GitHub issues board. This should clarify what these "Tags" are and highlight any features you might be missing due to our lack of documentation. Regarding keybinding issues, afaik, we haven't changed existing shortcuts in recent releases. We did add a completely new one, but this shouldn't affect the existing ones. Also, the tool window chat shortcut (Alt + 8) isn't predefined by us and is handled separately by users. I apologize for any delays in responses, but I assure you that the plugin is not headed for abandonment. This year, I'll focus on bringing agentic capabilities, MCP support, and improvements in autocompletion and next edit predictions. FYI: I'm more active in answering and giving feedback on Discord. |

Thanks for the reply, Carl. I get that your time is limited, and honestly, I'd much rather see you investing it in improving ProxyAI than dealing with needy users like me. Just two small suggestions:

I've paid for the official AI Assistant in PyCharm and Rider for a full year. Over time, I noticed a steady decline in quality—so much so that simply copying and pasting between PyCharm and the free version of ChatGPT became more effective. That’s when I decided to cancel my subscription.
Then I tried CodeGPT, and now ProxyAI. Right away, the difference in quality was obvious—this plugin feels like it was built by someone who genuinely cares, not thrown together as an afterthought. Really impressive work!
But the frustration comes when things stop working just as I start relying on them. For example, I used to be able to press
Alt+8
to open the chat,Ctrl+Alt+\
for a prediction, orCtrl+Alt+Shift+S
to start/stop the server—now, none of those work.I checked the full list of ProxyAI keybindings, and only two seem to respond. On top of that, the command list includes things I don’t even understand, like all the "Tags"-related entries. What are Tags supposed to do?
So, yeah, this is a bit of a rant—but without documentation, an active forum, or any signs of life in the GitHub Discussions section, I’m worried this plugin is headed for abandonment.
...but who am I kidding? I’m posting this in the neglected Discussions section, so...
