FEATURE REQUEST: Ad Fraud Flag

Howdy - i'd love an extra checkbox on the plugin for people using this plugin to flag suspected fraudulent online advertising setups. I know this data is transferred with the DOM + screenshots and some of the referral data but having one extra checkbox for "This submission is related to the advertising on this website." or something similar, would make it possible for the suspicious site reporter to be used by data supply researchers so that we don't need to use your bug submission processes for minor issues.

This seems potentially useful. We're also considering whether we should just have a freeform textbox to put comments such as this, so stay tuned. Thanks for the report!

thank you! i'm a big fan of any textbox // the other issue is with a feedback loop - it sure would be nice to have it synced into any sort of reporting tool so that it doesn't feel like pushing things into a blackbox. This is particularly important for certain ad tech that just sits there printing money and defrauding people - it's a little unnerving to find it, flag it, and then keep finding it for days/weeks while wondering if the report was dismissed or just still in the queue, etc.

@livvielin Could a non-googler develop this feature or does "Note that if the extension is built from here instead of using the version on the webstore, the private referrer chain API will be unavailable" mean that it wouldn't work?

A non-Googler could indeed develop this feature! The extension built directly from here and loaded as an unpacked extension does have some bugs/missing features, but any changes made to the code here via pull request would be included in future releases of the extension available in the Chrome Web Store.
