I took the issue templates from CloudNativePG and edited them.

is the BarmanCloudPlugin naming ok?
should there be a default assignee?

Hi @smiyc

I was looking into this, do you know if there's a way to put all the issue templates in one place so we can create general one for all the projects? I was wondering if that was possible.

Regards,

@sxd
actually there is a way to create common templates for all repositories of an account by creating a public .github repo.

https://docs.github.com/en/communities/setting-up-your-project-for-healthy-contributions/creating-a-default-community-health-file

these templates will be used 1:1, if the e.g. plugin-barman-cloud repo has no .github/ISSUE_TEMPLATE file.
but it looks like, there is no way of parameterize them to use the repo name or the version number of the releases as a variable

so I don't think it make sense, to use the same issue template for all repos

@smiyc interesting we already have that .github/ repository so probably is something we can have like a global definition

I tried to follow https://github.com/github/docs/blob/main/data/variables/README.md and created a
.github repo
and a issue test repo
but the variables do not get replaced, neither in the bug template nor in the README.md
so I dont think this is working

@sxd did you manage to ask at https://maintainers.github.com/ ?
