Will cmder support pacman?

Now, cmder do not include pacman. It would be more convenient if pacman is included.

Cmder does not include pacman because Git for Windows Portable does not include pacman.

You can add it though. I will find the script and post it here when I do.

If you add it we do not support it but that is your option.

I found my scripts. I am tested it with the current release of Cmder. It seems to work but it is not supported:

After it is done you can run:

pacman -Syyu

I may or may not work completely depending on your version of Git for Windows.

I updated mine to the latest Git for Windows and my second run of pacman -Syyu ended with:

If need for it arises, it would be a cool thing to add Pacman support to the list of officially supported utilities one day.

@DRSDavidSoft it currently depends on a 3rd party repo and only works with Git for Windows releases.

The originator of the script MANUALLY maintains a list of Git releases and commit hashes when they do a release. It MAY be possible to automate it using the Github API but may not be worth the time it takes.

Release candidates and Betas are not supported.

I have run it and had it completely kill my install so it is not bulletproof.

I thought about just writing a WIKI article for those that want/need it.
