sdxl DMD2 and lightning loras produce messed up resualts on most samplers

I've been using some online sites to generate for the past year, but have gone back to local generating as generating limits don't allow for too much testing etc.

Anyway i'm stuck with cpu only as my card is too low vram and too old for support from any of the options out there. directML had too many issues but did work and ROCm isn't even supported on my card.

when I make images with the loras for DMD2 or lightning LCM works fine but has a smoothness and loss of detail.
on the site I used Euler A also worked and had detail etc
but in comfy it just produces a mess of patterns and stripes. I spent most of the past two days trying to find answers but DDG only had generic "my images are bad" problems.

I don't know if it's settings or something else, I have a model with dmd2 baked in and it does mostly the same.
on dmd2 I have model strength at 0.7 and clip at 0.0 and on ligthning I have model at 1 and clip at 0
I did try different settings but it didn't really change anything.
