SRA has been designed to be a point in time solution of automated best practices, not one that can be incrementally update that ensures backward compatibility with previous releases.

This should be called out in the top-level README to ensure expectations are set for all clouds.

Agreed. I think we should start tagging on release to help with this also (i.e., a customer needs to pull SRA at the same version they used to deploy their workspace). This could be setup pretty easily with our existing GHA workflows.
