you should be good to begin with the changes you need. Maybe a new Type of config.placementType Like BoxFixedWidth or BoxFixedHeight for fixed height or to handle at least one fixed value and if we are note able to place everything, re-run the function with a bigger sheet size.

Thank you for your reply！ tried it myself, but perhaps due to a lack of confidence in thinking about the underlying algorithms, I failed.The current actual situation is that larger plates, such as those over 4 meters, use oxygen cutting, while smaller plates use laser cutting. The time for oxygen cutting is longer, so generally, large plates are cut together and small plates are cut together. Thus, larger plates are placed as close together as possible to save material efficiency; small plates and large plates will be positioned near each other. Therefore, for large plates exceeding 4 meters, when arranging the large plates, it is best to input the width first, and then automatically determine the length of the sheet based on the first plate that exceeds 4 meters. I have tried to add sheets based on the large plates during the input process, but this solution is obviously not feasible, because after the arrangement of the first large plate, the remaining sheets will still be used for the subsequent layouts. My current thought is to use dynamic length addition, or to develop a separate algorithm to handle the situation I mentioned
