Conversational agent with haystack-ai

Hi,

I was wondering if there was an equivalent of the conversational agent with farm-haystack, but with the new haystack-ai API(Haystack v2) Something similar to https://github.com/deepset-ai/haystack-tutorials/blob/main/tutorials/25_Customizing_Agent.ipynb and using RAG in the process but instead of farm-haystack using the new haystack-ai API

I was looking through the haystack-ai api and it seemed like this same conversational agent doesn't exist? Let me know if there's a work around to this!

You're right, agent support is not there in 2.x yet, most likely will become a priority Q2 this year.

We decided to give priority to other topics like model-based evaluation because thanks to looping support in 2.0.0 you can already make your RAG pipelines a bit "agentic" hence smarter than average, to have an idea you can have a look at the first talk from this meetup https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWSn-9s955g

Not really. Even if pipelines support loops, they don't "run forever" waiting for input, the run model is still input -> run (maybe loop) -> output. You would need to code your own "server loop" and call pipeline.run from there.
