firmware-misc-nonfree
package solved the problem and the WiFi driver module was able to load successfully (at least the WiFi part). You can also tryfirmware-realtek
and/orfirmware-misc-nonfree
You can also try to insert specific driver kernel modules (if you know what WiFi IC/module you have installed in your box) manually, this way maybe you get some messages which can point you where the problem might be exactly.
