Can I therefore - per your suggestion - run F# in Jupyter with the appropriate kernel? Oh... wait, no you're deprecating the kernel I need for that too 😭
Yes there are alternatives - but that is not the point, there were alternatives for C# before and a single file is in no way comparable to the quality and diversity of stuff you delivered in a notebook.
I wouldn't mind so much, I understand commercial imperatives, but the dotnet == C# thing gets me every time 😖
