Request for conceptual guidance on .slm file structure

Dear Dr. Parry,

I hope you’re doing well. I’m a Master’s student studying the influence of hatching strategies on SLM-fabricated parts, and I’ve begun reverse-engineering the proprietary .slm control files. Although I’ve mapped out much of the overall structure, I’ve hit conceptual roadblocks around certain header formats and the dual-laser assignment logic.

I’ve already emailed twice but may have missed your response—so I’m opening this issue in case it’s easier to spot here. Any high-level validation of my hypotheses or pointers to public resources (no proprietary dumps, I promise!) would be invaluable to complete my analysis and finish my thesis.
