[BUG] - Can't download mods over 1GB

I don't know what's going on, but this manager doesn't play nice with large mods at all; I've been repeatedly trying to get it to download a large mod as part of a larger modpack, but it always fails citing a "network error", without elaborating on what that means, and all attempts to work around it have thus far failed. It's really hampering my enjoyment of the game that I can't get this issue to resolve itself.

If anyone asks, the mod in question is registered as a dependency for a very large modpack I'm trying to install, so manual downloading is NOT an option. Believe me, I tried.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Try to install any mod over 1GB in size - in this case, "Retro_AR" for H3VR is the culprit, and at 1.4 GB is well enough over that boundary that it's unlikely to succeed by chance.
2. Wait for it to fail.
3. "Error: Failed to download mod [name of mod} - Network Error"
4. Click "Retry".
5. Goto 10.
