Check out These 2 sort-able and searchable lists which were made in Quarto and can easily be reproduced for ecoevo.social. I was thinking that since the entire documentation is done here in Quarto anyway and that my code is almost ready to adapt to any server without particular access rights to the API, why not add it ? We can even make a package for this so that other instance admins that know R can re-use it to create additional documentation.
At first I did this for fun, to see if I could improve accessibility of our Block and Limited server federation restriction lists for myself, so that I could remind myself more easily what's the story behind a certain domain or who does what in the realm of extremism. The ones that come out of the box are not very accessible and it was pretty easy to make better ones using {rtoot}. Then the issue of why a certain profile or their respective server came and continues to come up every now and then. Espesically in discussions between moderators and admins on whether to follow a particular recommendation for a server-wide block (e.g. under
#FediBlock
). Finally, we do love our locally emoji in tooo.im and we have too many of them. Their categorization is currently cumbersome and so I extended the code to include a similarly searchable and sortable list. I have a few either ideas that I have yet to come round to.@alxsimon
