Feature Request: Add search bar for different tabs

As I keep developing for the Bangle.js, the IDE quickly becomes cluttered with tabs, and I have to manually scroll through every tab to find the one I want. Having no tab rearrangement function also makes this slightly harder. I'm wondering if we can add a search bar somewhere that allows you to search for tabs you want, which would also enhance the flow for developing an app, only showing app files. I envision this to function as such:

• Search something in the bar, eg: "modclk"
• Any tabs that do not have "modclk" in the name get hidden.
• Any tabs that have that name are shown, and kept while developing until you clear the search bar.

I would imagine that this is not impossible, but I have very little experience with developing in HTML and js for websites, so any help is appreciated!

Thanks! That's an interesting idea - I'd never really envisaged using the IDE for so many files - at most I tend to have 4 open.

Where did you imagine having the search box? Maybe you could post up a screenshot that you added it to with paint?

I guess I could imagine a '?' icon that appeared when you had more than 3 tabs, and then you tap on that and get a popup with the files listed and a text box to search in them?

Adding reordering by dragging work would be nice too though and useful even when you only have a few tabs.

... another more heavyweight option is that there may be some online IDEs out there already that are much more capable that we could use (VS code works online, or eclipse had a project too) and at some point it might be more sensible to use one of those and reskin it to look a bit like the current IDE rather than slowly reimplementing everything ourselves

I'm envisioning something like this:

with a button to search in the top-right, and when clicked, it opens up a bar to search:

When you search for something, it filters only the ones that have what you searched for in it, and you can collapse that bar in the button, and it will still filter only the ones you search for.

I would say it's better adding functionality to this IDE than trying to use bluetooth and get all that compatible with VS Code or another IDE for now. Any thoughts on how to go about implementing this, and tab reordering?

Thanks - I think personally I'd prefer the icon appeared smaller and next to the new tab + icon - because I know you find it useful but I honestly think 95% of users won't use it and it'll be confusing for them.

I think file tabs are handled at https://github.com/espruino/EspruinoWebIDE/blob/master/js/core/file.js#L274-L277 so that might be a good place to start. I don't believe it would be that painful.
