When playing the game in mobile, if there is any activity in the chat box, aside from the other issue with the focus on the page #508, it is easy to miss it because for tiny screens, there is only space for the board and timer.
I wonder if it would be possible to have small chat bubbles appear on top of the board as a rapidly disappearing message, so one is alerted the opponent said something.
Something like this:
This should be rather unobtrusive so maybe in the lower left or right as seen fit, and a rapid fadeout timeout (maybe 1.0s or 1.5s).
This feature should be toggable on/off, and rolled out disabled for users. Or possibly a separate toggle for rated and casual games. But it would be nice to turn it on when playing with known opponents.
