We're excited to introduce a new tool called launchBrowser, that makes Testplane MCP even more useful.

The launchBrowser tool lets users and agents customize which browser is launched and with what capabilities.

Now, you may use prompts like:

Open example.com using testplane MCP on iPhone 15 Pro screen and make a screenshot

LLMs will automatically determine correct screen dimensions and pass them as desiredCapabilities to this new tool.

You may use even more specific prompts like this:

Open example.com using a browser with user agent Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 6.0; Nexus 5 Build/MRA58N) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/86.0.4240.77 Mobile Safari/537.36 and make a screenshot

Note: this tool may be used to launched other browsers besides chrome. But only chrome and firefox can be installed automatically by Testplane MCP. If you want to use other browsers, you need to install the browser and its driver by yourself as well as launch driver and pass driver address to gridUrl param of the launchBrowser tool. Of course, this can also be automated by LLM agents.
