"New Feature Request": Oriented Bounding Boxes

Hello @gereleth ,

I'm back with a feature request. =)

I would like to use the bbox widget with the added twist of rotating the boxes.

Here is an example of a labeling software that does oriented rectangles. (https://github.com/urobots-io/anno/)
It needs to be installed though and that makes it already an extra hurdle if I want to share my pipeline with my team.

Hi =).

This is a nice idea and probably doable but I don't know when I'll have the time and energy to make an attempt.

I'll need some research about how oriented boxes are usually represented in annotations - which angle and in which units we should record.
Then I'll need to think how to support multiple annotation types. Should they live in the same widget or should there be different widgets for different kinds. Some current features like edge/corner cursors won't make sense for rotated boxes. There's a lot to think about and I can already feel the analysis paralysis setting in 😅. So no promises on any practical results any time soon.
