Hello,

I tried this on an Basic App Service plan Linux Function app. No matter what i tried (with or without public storage); it did not work.

When i execute above command, my function app just crashes. and i get the page which state
"If you are the application administrator, you can access the"

So in that post I was showing how it worked with my tenant. My function apps were running P1V2 plan at the time, but I don't think you need premium to mount azure files file share. If my posts doesn't help, try googling 'linux function app mount azure files share' and see the different results, specifically limitations. It would be hard for me to troubleshoot your situation exactly. Also, it might be releated to your function app itself like in this example.
