roadmap: 24q1

Tracking issue for hight priority tasks that should be done in 24q1.

Primary goal

Focus on metrics:

• Compatibility with existing infrastructure: prometheus remote write, promql
• Stability: e2e tests, unit tests
• Performance tracking: reproducible benchmarks with trackable metrics
• Observability: health dashboard, alerts

Scope

Drop-in replacement for Prometheus datasource that can ingest metrics
with prometheus remote write.

OTEL-native metrics, other ingestion protocols, etc are out of primary scope.
