App takes a long time to open after update to 2025.8.7

Description of problem, include YAML if issue is related to notifications:
On opening the app the loading spinning wheel is presented for anywhere from 10s to over 2m
This is a new behaviour since the app was updated from the play store two days ago. Prior to this the app opened almost instantly to my dashboard without any noticeable delay.
This is the same on WiFi at home where HA is installed, and away from Wifi on mobile.
It usually eventually loads, but the long delay is making it almost unusable.

I also see this behaviour on my Galaxy S24 after updating to 2025.8.7 for any restart of the app. I also observed, that when I switch Wifi or Mobile Internet off and on again during this loading screen, the app is loaded immediately.

Same issues here on my s24. It started right after the last update. Using the method that @SirSimon97 mentioned seems to help. Thanks SS97. Hopefully there will be a quick fix because I depend on the app more than hopping on my computer.

No timeline yet for a release on the play store but an APK can be found in the PR. It will be on the next beta if you want. But like I said I'm not sure it fixes completely the issue.

Im also one of those guys that love Home Assistant, but probably shouldn't be using it because I lack knowledge in programming. Lol.
I couldn't figure out where to find the apk file, but did find 2025.8.8 apk and updated. Still an issue in that version.
Willing to help test and will try to learn my way around github. I'm off work today and tomorrow and would rather do this than housework. Haha

Same issue here, looks like the problem might already have been identified but, thought I'd comment on the chance it helps in the meantime.

Temporary workaround if needed:
If I launch the app via a direct page shortcut/deep link, it opens instantly off-LAN (no delay at all).

Since updating the android app to 2025.8.7-full, the HA Companion app takes ~20s - 2min to open only when off-LAN (cell data / external Wi-Fi).

• Normal app launch off-LAN → black screen + spinning blue circle (~20s-2m) → quick flash → normal loading screen (~1s) → then loads.
• On LAN: opens instantly.
• Same behavior on other devices (Galaxy S24 Ultra + Galaxy Tab, fully updated).
• No changes to HA config, phone, or network besides the app update.

So the issue only occurs during the initial remote startup — not when using shortcuts.
