Not sure if I understood correctly, but you mean that if you change the icon of, let's say a light bulb, to a switch, the switch icon stays always on or always off, correct?

As fast as as I know when you manually set an icon you make it static and not dynamic to the entity state.

@bgoncal bgoncal changed the title after recent updates, sensor icon does not change when input changes If i change an entity icon, that icon stop reflecting the state related icon, even if i return to the default Apr 22, 2025

Yes bgoncal, you understood correctly. Up until 2 weeks ago when I changed the icon (any icon) it remained dynamic and reflected the input/output state. Now it doesn't happen anymore. This is not a vital problem, but I don't understand why it happens.
Another important info: when I select an endpoint to change the properties, in the top left window there is the icon I have chosen and only in that window if the input state (or output) changes the state of the icon also changes, whatever icon I have chosen, but nothing happens on the dashboard.

Ok, I’ll have to transfer this issue to the frontend repo since the App only displays the web interface inside an app wrapper.
