Releases: htacg/tidy-html5
Pre-release 5.9.14-next
Due to popular demand, the HTACG/Tidy team releases binaries from our nextbranch for your convenience.
Really Important Note:
This version of HTML Tidy uses the new, non-recursive parsers. In the event that regressions are happening in the field, please look at the pre-release version 5.9.8-next to confirm that there's an actual parsing regression. Thanks.
Important notes:
- Downstream package maintainers should not base release workflows on these
nextbranch releases. Themasterbranch continues to be the API and ABI stable branch. It's hoped that the tag name ending with-nextand the lack of meaningfulSONAME - API and ABI stability is not guaranteed from minor version to minor version in the
nextbranch. In general, source compatibility will be very high. - These tags and releases will be deleted when newer versions are posted. Do not base your workflows on
-nexttags and Github pre-releases. - We build what Github can build. This means 64-bit debs and rpms, 64-bit macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon) and 64-bit Windows. Other operating systems and 32-bit architectures are not supported at this time.
- SHA256's have been supplied for each binary, should you wish to verify them.
- macOS DMG and PKG releases are notarized by Apple for security.
Pre-release 5.9.8-next
Due to popular demand, the HTACG/Tidy team releases binaries from our nextbranch for your convenience.
Really Important Note:
This is the last version of HTML Tidy with the old, recursive parsers. Although we typically delete these next releases when a new point release is made available, we'll keep this here for a while in case the new, non-recursive parsers are causing serious regressions in the field.

5.8.0
Finally, the latest stable HTML Tidy 5.8.0 is official!
This is an even minor version number release, which means that we guarantee ABI/API stability throughout the entire release cycle of 5.8.x, meaning that this is a stable release. This is the release that other repository maintainers should be tracking for release!
If you don't require ABI/API stability in your application, make sure you continue to monitor our next branch. This is where new features and HTML process bug fixes are generally applied.
