[THREAD] GitHub Pages TXT verification not working

Hi everyone,

We are aware of the issue regarding GitHub Pages TXT verification not working, and we are currently trying to work with GitHub to resolve this matter. Please be patient as we are unable to do anything at this time other than wait for GitHub's response.

I was able to replicate this issue, and I have no clue why this is happening. I tried verifying an .is-a.dev subdomain on an alternate account, and it wouldn't work even though the record was present in the is-a.dev zone, however if I try verify a different domain it works almost immediately.

The weird thing is, the DNS records are in the zone and are reachable (e.g. _github-pages-challenge-qavv.qavv.is-a.dev which is the subdomain I tried verifying). However GitHub just isn't finding them. I doubt it is a Cloudflare issue because the other domain name I tried verifying is on the same CF account as is-a.dev and it worked fine. This appears to be an issue on GitHub's end. I will open a support ticket and respond back.

I will be opening a "discussion" issue, and will close this issue.
