'&' in the local_key leads to connection error

All my devices work well
I added a new one today (same model/brand), only difference is that "local_key" include some fancy characters.
Checking with other devices, only "&" seems added to the list of characters used

THe error I get is

I have a bunch of devices with & in their local key and they all work fine. Are you sure v3.4 is correct for the device? Most manufacturers are moving to v3.5 these days. Have you tried power cycling it?

Yes.
To test it, I moved the device of wifi, so it regenerated the key. With the new key (without any "&"), it works fine

Hi @grosjo thanks for posting. Are you using the built in command line too to query (e.g. python -m tinytuya scan) or are you using your own code? If you are using code, can you post how you are calling for the status?
