Unable to run slide presentation of BasicExample

Hi,
I have a Kubuntu Linux 24.04 desktop machine, in which I suceeded installing manim (CE), via a virtual environment under pixi. I have been able to create several manimations this way.
Now I have tried to use manim-slides. To that end, I have been able to install it as well as pyqt under my pixi virtual environment.
Afterwards, I was able to run the command, apparently without any issues:

manim example.py BasicExample

and directories called media and slides were indeed created. However, when I tried to run the presentation, via:

manim-slides BasicExample

the following traceback ocurred:

How did you install Manim Slides? Because Manim Slides requires PyQt6 or PySide6, which can be installed with pip install "manim-slides[pyside6]" or pip install "manim-slides[pyqt6]".

If you did not specify those extras, I will not install the required Qt bindings, hence the bug.

I have reinstalled, always via my virtual environment using pixi:

• python 3.12, from conda forge
• manim 0.19.0, from conda forge
• pyside6 6.8.2, from PyPI
• manim-slides 5.4.2, from PyPI
• other pyside additional packages, just in case

I am not familiar to pixi, but you could (and should) simplify the config file to something like:

Also, don't use conda channels, it is not required and is likely to cause more trouble than anything. If pixi is built for Anaconda users, then I recommend using something else, like uv, which supports standard pyproject.toml files for configuration.
