What do you think of housing jcstress test engine under junit-team?

Hi,

I think of creating a test engine for launching jcstress tests.
Do you think it could could be hosted as something like junit-team/jcstress-engine?

I'm not sure how involved that would be. Have you already tried? Have you asked the maintainers of jcstress if they would be interested in a JUnit test engine for and and maybe even willing to maintain it?

I haven't tried yet. I think it should not be involved though.

JCStress is maintained under OpenJDK framework, so they use mailing list, OpenJDK JIRA, and they have a bid rigid process when it comes to merging changes.

I thought making a sample under junit-team side by side with the rest test engines would be a good start as it could have less rigid process. It might be easier to donate to jcstress once something works.

I'd first like to discuss this within the team. I'd recommend that your start in a repo under your username. It would also give us a better idea what we'd be signing up for.

It looks like IDEA is not quite ready for launching the tests from custom sourcesets:

Will try mixing both jcstress and regular tests under src/test.
