Where the default layout is saved

I have been using lichtblick, and realized that once I have modified the layout, the latest layout is automatically saved.
I was wondering where this layout (layout file) was saved. Could you tell me the path?
I now that the layout is described by a json format, but can not find a location.
I want to modify the layout file, since I am facing an error caused by the User Scripts panel.
Every time I reload lichtblick, the same error occurs and I can not use the desktop GUI.

Hey @go-sakayori !
You can check our documentation about layouts that I think it'll answer your question!
But basically:

• on MacOS and Linux the path to find layouts is ~/.lichtblick-suite/layouts
• on Windows is C:\Users\<USER>\.lichtblick-suite\layouts

Thank you for your quick response.
As you have mentioned I thought the default layout was under ~/.lichtblick-suite/layouts.
However under ~/.lichtblick-suite there wasn't any directory named layouts, so I created one.
After closing lichtblick, I expected a layout file to be created under this directory, but there weren't any.
Is there any more information, you can provide?

I am running the desktop application via

$ yarn desktop:serve
$ yarn desktop:start

Furthemore, I found out that once I delete ~/.config/Lichtblick Dev and relaunch my lichtblick desktop, the saved layout would be deleted and the default layout would be launched. I cannot find any .json file unde this directory, and was wondering which file affects the layout.

Hey @go-sakayori , sorry for the late reply.
So I understand what you're asking now, basically the Layouts folder can be created manually and used to open layouts, however Lichtblick always saves it's layouts on IndexDB on both the web and desktop application. So if you check your browser console (you can also open the console on the desktop version) you're going to find the layouts:

That's why, like you said, once you delete ~/.config/Lichtblick Dev all your layouts are gone, so if you want to save a layout you created, have it on ~/.lichtblick-suite/layouts and have an actual .json file, you'll have to export it from Lichtblick.
