Disabling itatlics does nothing

The following config does not disable italics:

  styles = {
    comment = { italic = false },
    keyword = { italic = false }, -- any other keyword
    type = { italic = false }, -- (preferred) int, long, char, etc
	...
  },

Selecting a filter in the same config does have an effect so it shouldn't be a setup issue.

I've got the same problem. Some italics seem to be disabled, but others are not. I want a toggle for disabling italics globally as well because I never want them to render for anything.

In the meantime, this patch worked for me to disable all italics (running it in the config after for the Monokai Pro plugin:
