Paypal’s documentation only shows a JavaScript example. How do you validate the webhooks in Python though?

Thanks for this guide, really useful! I wonder if it would be even more generalised if you stayed away from Django, i.e. models (or any other framework).

You're right that the logic itself has nothing to do with Django, but this gave me an easy way to present a fully working example view, with a database cache for the certificate. I refactored the code to make it easier to take the relevant code, but it won't be completely Django-independent in my example.

Is a DB-backed cache useful in this example, or would an in-memory cache be sufficient? I'm wondering how many public keys you may need to store. Obviously, in-memory cache would need to "warm up" every time each service pod starts up.
