Welcome to Community Resource Library in process of building - where you will find relevant and high-quality learning resources efficiently.

Team proposed use React, Chakra UI, Sass, and Firebase, we're aiming to solve the current struggles of tech learners by providing a centralized, AI-enhanced platform for resource discovery, sharing, and personalized learning, ultimately supporting members' professional growth and community engagement in a community of tech lover.

Features

• Intuitive UI
• Resource Library homepage with list of resources to interact with (read, rate, comment, like, bookmark etc.) and option to suggest a resource to community manager.
• Reward System: A points system where most user interactions will accumulate points which then can be claimed for tangible rewards. Users can read about how the rewards system works, how points are generated and also see a history of their points accumulation or spending.
• Responsiveness across various devices
• Reward System Marketplace: A place for users to pick their rewards.
• Robust error handling for various scenarios

Setup

• Clone the repository to your local machine
• cd into the repository
• Make sure the necessary dependencies are installed on your local machine (npm, react-router-dom, sass, firebase)
• Once the necessary dependencies are installed, cd back into the root of the repository, and run npm start
• Set up .env file
• Explore and enjoy!

Value Proposition

The Learning Hub offers a centralized and community-driven platform for continuous learning and professional development in tech. By providing high-quality, user-contributed resources and personalized learning recommendations, the platform ensures that members can efficiently upskill and collaborate with peers. This creates a supportive environment that empowers users to achieve their career goals.

Planning:

• Project planning is doing via:
  • JIRA
  • Confluence

• Time was taken to create team norming and expectation agreements

Building:

• We aim for create a reusable component structure, allowing for ease of future iterations
• Establishing connectivity with the Community Firebase to interface with collections such as Users, Resources, etc...
• Designers are working on creating an user-friendly UI, providing an easy solution for tech-related conversation
