No asking for permissions

Describe the bug
it is not resolving requestReadSMSPermission promise
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

in expo v54 I am calling RNReadSMS.requestReadSMSPermission() but never resolve, and nothing happens in the front end
Expected behavior
should show an alert asking for permissions

Desktop (please complete the following information):

• OS: ANDROID

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

• Device: Samsung Fold 6
• OS: Android 15

I tried using this for the Expo SDK 53 project. But faced these errors, do you have any idea about this? Did you face anything like this ?
