@cammace , a good amount more I'm afraid. I haven't touched this in a while. Feel free if you'd like. Below's what I've got so far.

I would say that a decision needs to be made about how much of the GL-JS example is used for the demo app here. There's not a lot of real estate on a phone for the filters/legends that are in the GL-JS example. The data set(s) are also huge which may lead to a jittery UI for older/slower devices, and some slow loading off the geojson files. Not sure how much would improve if loading was done on background thread(s).
