DReader is a fast, user friendly and simple data analyzer coded in Fortran, running on Windows. It can sort data, find statistical values as well as plot variables in 2D space, using gnuplot. DReader can read
.txt and .csv file formats, in which their first row includes the labels, or "features".
Unfortunately, DReader is a dedicated to Windows application, but it can be modified in order to run on another OS. (More about that later)
There are many fortran compilers but it seems that the most common is gfortran, which is part of the MINGW-W64 GCC Compiler.
To install it, follow this link
Make sure to add the mingw-w64 binaries to your environment variables

You can install gnuplot from this link
To compile the DReader.f95 file to an executable:
- Open Windows Terminal
- Change directory to DReader.f95's parent directory
- Type:
gfortran DReader.f95 -o [your_preferred_name].exe
- And finally run the executable
[your_preferred_name].exe
Fortran does not include any module or intrinsic function to retrieve OS info, thus it wasn't feasible to control the program's output and format it. To run the program on Linux, you will have to go through the source code and remove any execute command line code lines as well as explicitely determining the file from which you want to retrieve the data. I am aware of this inconvenience and I am eager to patch this in a future commit, but till now I haven't found an elegant way to incorporate this feature.
