There is no include_self argument in the call() function. See the docs.

I haven't seen your code, but I assume you are sending this argument?

Okay, let me have a look at it.

Side note, if you are going to use call(), then you shoul not be sending callback as an argument.

Okay; is that something recent? Does that mean I can no longer specify which callback get's executed?

There are no callbacks when you use the call() function. If you want to use your callback then you have to use emit().

Okay; just tried without specifying a callback; same result (testing this in a docker container btw)

The reason I was using the cal() function was the timeout option and the associated exception that was raised if the timeout was reached; not so much the custom callback.
