This repository contains code associated with the manuscript:

Reactive Particle-tracking Solutions to a Benchmark Problem on Heavy Metal Cycling in Lake Sediments, by Michael J. Schmidt, Stephen D. Pankavich, Alexis Navarre-Sitchler, Nicholas B. Engdahl, Diogo Bolster, and David A. Benson.

  • The FD directory contains the Fortran code used to run the finite difference model from the above manuscript.

  • The miRPT directory contains the Fortran code used to run the particle-tracking model from the above manuscript.

  • The figures directory contains a plot of the full 100-member ensemble results for the spatially-perturbed condition, found in Section 4.3.2 and Figures 8 and 9 in the above-referenced manuscript.

  • The data directory contains a MATLAB script and .mat file with the data found in L. Winowiecki, Geochemical cycling of heavy metals in the sediment of Lake Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Master’s thesis, University of Idaho (October 2002).
