Segmentation fault on debian

Was really excited to try but getting a segfault running the extracted binary:

Segmentation fault (core dumped)

With appimage-launcher:

Curiously, gdb also didn't quite play along:

"/tmp/appimage_extracted_…/usr/bin/term.everything!mmulet.com": not in executable format: file format not recognized

Still hoping to get this working as a more functional replacement for the (as of now) unmaintained carbonyl chromium-based terminal browser..

Thanks for the bug report. I wonder if AppImage messes with gdb? I looked online, and I did find that the PCSX2 emulator has a guide for using gdb with AppImages, so maybe that will work here?

Honestly, AppImages have been trouble. I'm working on a rewrite to just compile everything to a single executable and statically link everything in. I'm hoping when the rewrite finishes it will fix this issue.

Well as a user, appimages do have their charm: each application is a single file, it's easy to store different versions.. but that's more useful for some apps than for others 🥳
Yeah absolutely take your time, the idea has great potential and really curious how good this can be made to run.. maybe you can pick up something from that carbonyl browser's rendering hacks for text, the author (who seems kinda busy with other things) has written a great blog post about it.. it's a rust wrapper around the chromium headless shell..
Oh off topic but there's another fabulous blog of him in draft state about fourier's wave conceptions with gourgeous animations..

I completely reworked the program for version https://github.com/mmulet/term.everything/releases/tag/0.7.5 , I statically linked everything with musl libc and don't use AppImage at all. This should solve this issue.

Please try it again with the new version, and if you are still having trouble, open a new issue.

Also @eMPee584 I did my undergrad in pure EE, so I've spent so much time with the Fourier transform that now I really have a soft spot for all things Fourier so thanks for link.
