Progress dialog or splash screen when loading yt-dlp video?

Is there a way for mpv to immediately show a window or progress dialog box when playing a video loaded via yt-dlp, e.g.:

mpv https://x.com/realstewpeters/status/1976857778326040823

Currently, it spends several seconds buffering/downloading the video before any window appears.
