zinitix touchscreen doesn't work at all (samsung-gt58) #397

The touchscreen shows up as:
input: Zinitix Capacitive TouchScreen as /devices/platform/soc@0/78b9000.i2c/i2c-3/3-0020/input/input4
But the driver throws these errors:

Zinitix-TS 3-0020: Failed to send power sequence(vendor cmd enable)
Zinitix-TS 3-0020: Error while sending power-on sequence: -6

As a result, the touchscreen is completely non functional. I have tried a bunch of different builds of postmarketOS, and the issue persists. Also, the touchscreen worked fine in the stock android, and in a custom android 12 rom I tried before pmos.

I am 99% sure that the screen is original (bought the device off ebay used), but my model is the SM-T357T, which isn't explicitly documented on the wiki page for this device.

Any ideas for what I can try? I am completely clueless when it comes to i2c and driver debugging.
