TPM Unclearable

Hi, a few days ago I followed the instructions for installing 1vyrain. Yesterday, I was attempting to clear my TPM's owner password and found I was unable to. The clear button within the BIOS menu seems to do absolutely nothing, and attempting to request a clear through PPI has absolutely 0 response from the BIOS on boot. I believe this is an 1vyrain problem, but I am unsure of how to proceed to fix this. The image doesn't seem to have taken a read of my original BIOS, and I don't know if I need the exact same version or just a version of stock in order to regain access to the TPM.

Of note: The TPM still seems to function, all tpm_* programs run just fine (aside from those that request an owner password) and the OS hasn't had any issues using the TPM for its other functions.

side side note, maybe the 1vyrain image should prompt the user to create a backup of their current bios? would definitely make things a lot easier for anyone who wanted to go back to stock

No need and no place for it as it's a temporary live environment. Just run the official updater to revert to an unmodified version.

Attempt again on stock firmware, leave TPM cleared and unconfigured before flashing 1vyrain

So any stock version should be able to clear the TPM? Just using IVprep should put me in an environment to take control of the TPM?

Nope, first time seeing it. Trying to determine if there's an issue on your motherboard or in software.

I am happy to report that it was not an issue with my hardware. Upon installing Windows 10 and running IVprep, I was able to clear the TPM within BIOS setup with no reported issues. Whatever I was experiencing was definitely due to 1vyrain unfortunately. I am no longer in a position to debug but it is worth looking into.
