Mobile interface issues

On edge on the iPhone there are multiple interface issues:

1. highlighting text is offset by a few characters. here it higlights beta, but the displayed highlight is off:

2. the validate and submit button doesn't work:
   

3. the start page is confusing because this all people see and no link works: one has to close the menu first to start working:
   

4. when switching to the desktop version of the site, then the validate button works, but it fails with this error:
   

5. when trying to publish the container it tries to send an empty yaml file:

2,3,4, and 5 are fixed on my beta version. Still looking into 1.
