Uplift form component guidance #2320
Description
To correspond with work on frontend (nhsuk/nhsuk-frontend#1567), we should review and uplift our design system guidance for form components.
When uplifting the frontend components, we have made sure to make necessary updates to our deign system examples and guidance, but we should also do more general uplifting / aligning of our related guidance pages.
For example, on our checkboxes content, we have added a section on using smaller checkboxes but there are other bits of guidance that we still lack, such as GOV provides examples and guidance for using checkboxes as the one question on a page or when asking multiple questions.
This should cover:
- Character count
- Checkboxes
- Date input
- Error message
- Error summary
- Fieldset
- Hint
- Label
- Radios
- Select
- Text input
- Textarea
