Navigate data structures (json, yaml, etc) but through the view used by mini.files

I came across jsonhero.io where it provides a UI to explore JSON data structures like how mini.files does file navigation.

The column view would be nice for exploring large data structures.

That's an interesting idea indeed. At the moment I feel that using folds with foldmethod=indent and properly formatted json/yaml gives similar experience. Although maybe a bit more verbose on key presses (zj / zk / za instead of j / k / l). Just has to get used to folds. But I'll keep this idea in mind.
